The latest SkyTrackPro update brings one of the biggest feature expansions so far. From weather tools on the Task and live tracking to a rebuilt server architecture with fully custom terrain we have been working behind the scenes to make your flying experience faster smarter and more reliable.
Organizer can now provide a weather report on the task so pilots can now see a clear and compact weather report directly on the task page. Wind strength and direction at different altitudes cloudbase height and general flying conditions are integrated into the task overview so you always know what to expect during planning.
Tasks now include all essential operational information in one place. Retrieve instructions safety radio frequency safety phone numbers task timings launch window and other mission critical details are displayed clearly for every pilot.
The task board is built for competitions as well as club or weekend flying. It gives pilots a complete overview and reduces briefing time significantly.
Live tracking has now been fully merged into the SkyTrackPro environment. Pilots can share their location during flight while organisers and friends follow their progress in real time. The system is designed for low battery usage accurate position updates and reliable server connectivity.
The SkyTrackPro native apps have reached the final development stage. Both versions offer offline maps airspace obstacle display live metrics a customisable flight layout and the ability to upload flights straight from your device. The new backend architecture ensures instant syncing with the website.
Behind the scenes we completely modernised the mapping engine. SkyTrackPro now runs on a fully custom server stack with our own map tiles terrain datasets elevation models hillshade and contour lines. Everything is generated and optimised in house for precision and speed.
These datasets are also available for offline use in the iOS and Android apps enabling flights in remote areas without connectivity while still showing accurate terrain and safety layers.
The flight upload workflow has been refined for speed and reliability. IGC processing is now faster cleaner and more tolerant of device differences, it also truncates dead points from the beginning and from the end of the track. The new task upload system also supports importing tasks which pilots or clubs can share or use for navigation.
SkyTrackPro continues to grow rapidly combining precision modern technology and pilot focused design in every update.
